Slobodan Ivanković Baudo (Banja Luka, 26 September 1946), painter.
He got his bachelor’s and master’s degree at the University of Belgrade in the class of professor Nedeljko Gvozdenović. He is a representative of Paris colorists. His painting is classical. His large opus consists of a variety of motives from classical iconography. First and foremost, Baudo is a painter – he uses precision and his knowledge of anatomy to depict his subjects as nudes, transfer them to different interior backgrounds and mimic some of the most important masterpieces of global art. He is especially interested in Dutch painters Rembrandt and Vermeer. Baudo’s interpretations of their most important works get a new life because the artist paints them in his own style. Baudo’s paintings style is based on a colourful and expressive colour pallete, which he carefully includes into the painting of the object or a landscape. The colour follows the expressiveness of the main theme. The colour palette and contrasts give the paintings a modern tone despite classical motives.
